I spent 15 years in the corporate world serving as a financial advisor before walking away in 2009 at the age of 40. Ultimately I ended up starting my own boutique wealth management firm serving midlife women professionals and the LGBTQ community to continue my passion on my own terms.
The transition from employee to business owner was both exciting and challenging. I learned a lot about what to do and what not to do when starting a business. I was also naive and didn’t know exactly what to expect.
